Hannah is such a beautiful girl! I couldn't resist taking her photo in front of one of my favorite trees in the yard. The tree only blooms for a short two weeks out of the year in early April. I always look forward to the blooms because they signify the beginning of the season. Shortly after the tulips popped up in the backyard followed closely by the hostas. I am still waiting for the lilacs to open up, but I must be patient.

Spring Time

The Island
The Hayes/Pennington Spring Break trip was a fun beach filled adventure! The weather was perfect and even with the afternoon rain showers, we spent hours on the beach soaking up the sun. Despite the hour and a half mountain bus trip, we enjoyed the resort. I spent two hours having one of the best spa massages ever, complete with hot rocks! I couldn't help but take pictures of the vibrant plant life and our Peacock friends at the resort. I was inspired by our vacation, I came home with the urge to paint something using bright pinks and aqua blues. The traveling part of the trip was stressful as I don't care much for flying, but coming home to Hannah and the kitties is always my favorite part of any trip.
